Revealed: US spy operation that manipulates social media

FFS. Allegedly only other than in English, but makes you wonder if they understand the concept of 'killing the goose that laid the golden egg'?

  1. Ironic they are talking about a California-based company, a state that has a cash economy that is or has been invisible to the more-than-privileged dwindling 'majority'. I doubt people in Silicon Valley get that, much less who they are contracted out to.

In order to prove how successful the venture is, I do worry about the validity of measured wins. Then again, winning insn't the point. Staying actively engaged and costing lots of money is...at least that's what I'm starting to suspect.

  2. I hate your government, your politicians, your business class and your police state, but when people talk shit about Americans I point out I've had more positive experiences with American than Canadian, Japanese, or British strangers, taken as a whole. The problem America faces is the one every empire faces: the seduction of power blinds the many to the fact that it benefits only the few at great cost to the many, is unsustainable over time and the collapse again is at the cost to the many.

    1. The second link is the real issue in a 'democracy'. I'll refrain from quoting Jefferson again.
