How the 'yellow-fevered' see Japan

I don't know where this is from, but this is how the 'yellow-fevered' see Japan.
Well buddy, just don't get married...

  1. I don't know what others' marriages are like, but mine is definitely not like this.

  2. Ha! Mine's something like the last frame: same look on her face, but minus the coffee in my hand.

  3. Happy New Year!!

And yeah, let those with the "fever" come down with a case of the "marriage". That'll teach em';)

Most of the expats I know that are married are NOT wearing the pants in the family. Seems that way.

  4. Chris, to generalize too much, I don't think Japanese make worse wives, but I do think there is a larger contrast with how they were as ideal girlfriends. I picked one who wasn't nice to me before we were married, so I've been fine, in a way...

  5. Coffee, like other things while married, is somehow more appreciated when it's not self-service. Wifey knows I like mine strong, a little milk, and no sugar. There are some times when I have to settle for black, which is fine considering what it feels like to go without. In our house, compromise and balance keeps brew in the pot. No, it ain't no Starbucks...but we okay with that.

  6. Will, "more appreciated when it's not self-service" would make an interesting post, and would include coffee, tea, meals, sex...

  7. I must confess, my wife and I did start our courtship under the guise of language lessons. She's never made coffee for me though.

Now I read that back, it really sounds like a euphemism for something...
